You can find Vasu & Co right across from the Devanagar Kalyana Mandapam on Rangai Gowder Street. The address is 1195. It’s a busy street, especially when there’s a wedding or an event at the Mandapam across the way. We’ve been sitting here in this spot for years. The shop is full of stuff, and we know exactly where everything is, even if it looks a bit messy to someone walking in for the first time. We handle a lot of local trade. It’s a lot of manual work, lifting boxes and sorting through items. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s usually just a couple of us behind the counter or in the back room. The street gets very crowded in the afternoons, so getting deliveries in can be a bit of a headache sometimes. We just make it work. Most of our customers are people from the neighborhood who have been coming to us for a long time. We don't really do anything complicated. We open up in the morning, sweep the front, and start the day. Sometimes we stay late if there’s a lot to count. It’s a regular shop, nothing more, nothing less. We like being part of the street life here. It’s noisy and busy, but it feels like home to us. We’ve got stacks of old ledgers that show just how long we’ve been around this part of town.
