Our office is located on Ramasamy Street, right across from the ICICI ATM in the Ramanathapuram area of Coimbatore. It’s a pretty busy neighborhood, which is good for us because people are always passing by. We started Vaiyok Consultancy Services to help folks around here find decent jobs without too much fuss. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees; it's just a small team of us working out of this space. We spend a lot of time on the phone or meeting with people who are looking for a change in their career. The street can get a bit crowded with traffic from Nanjundapuram Road, but we’ve gotten used to it. We deal with all sorts of companies that need staff. Some days we are busy filing paperwork and other days we are just chatting with candidates about what they can actually do. We try to keep things simple. There’s no big manual or fancy process, just us looking at what's available and seeing if someone fits. It’s practical work. We’ve seen the job market change a lot in Coimbatore over the years, so we just try to keep up with who is hiring and who is looking. It’s a lot of manual sorting and keeping track of names and numbers. We’re usually here from morning until evening, just trying to make sense of all the applications that come our way. We don't mind the long hours as long as we're getting things done.
