V. R. Foundries

Our little place is located at 83, P.K.D. Nagar, right in the busy heart of Peelamedu. It’s a crowded corner of the world, but we like it here. V. R. Foundries has been operating out of this same spot for a long time. It is mostly just us working with sand molds and molten metal throughout the long week. The neighborhood has changed quite a bit over the years we've been here, but we are still in the same building doing the same things. You can usually hear the loud sounds of the heavy equipment if you happen to be walking down the street nearby. We are definitely not a giant corporation or anything fancy like that. It is more of a family-style setup where everyone knows each other’s names and their families too. Sometimes things get a little bit cluttered in the yard, especially when we have a big order going out to a client. We try to keep everything moving as best as we can. Working in a foundry is very tough on the hands and ruins your clothes quickly, but we do not mind much. It is what we know how to do. Peelamedu is a good home for us because it is easy for our suppliers to find the gate. We do not spend any money on glossy brochures or big ads. We would much rather just show up every morning and do the physical work. The shop floor is always dusty, and the air smells like hot iron, but that is just how it is.
