V R Foundries

V R Foundries is out in Karumathampatti, specifically at 13 Annur Road. Being a foundry, you can probably imagine that it gets pretty dirty and very hot around here. We deal with a lot of casting work throughout the week. The furnace stays going for most of the day, and the loud sound of the blowers is just something you get used to after working here for a week or two. We have been in this exact spot for a long time. It isn't a glamorous job, pouring molten metal into sand molds, but it is the work we know how to do. The dust gets everywhere, no matter how many times we try to sweep the floor. When the heavy rains come, the roof sometimes leaks near the storage area, and we have to scramble to move the finished parts. It is just how things are. We don't have a fancy website or anyone talking about corporate growth. We just make the metal pieces that people ask us for. Most of our neighbors are also in the same industry, so there are always trucks moving in and out of the narrow lane. We usually break for our lunch around one o'clock, and everyone sits out front where there is a bit of a breeze. The work is heavy, and by the end of a shift, everyone is tired and ready to head home. We just try to keep things moving along.
