V. M. Garments

We are based over at No. 8 in Classic Garden, within the E. B. Colony in Vadavalli. It’s a nice enough area to work in. V. M. Garments has been here since we moved into this unit. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but it’s a good spot for a small setup like ours. We mostly do garment stitching. Most of our work comes from regular clients who have been with us since the start. The shop is basically one large room where we do everything from measuring to packing. We don't have any fancy signs or a big entrance. It’s just a place where we come to work every morning. Sometimes the E. B. Colony gets a bit quiet, which is fine by us. We listen to the radio while we work to keep things moving. My sister helps with the finishing work and I handle the rest. We don't use any complicated systems, just a notebook to keep track of what needs to be done. It’s a basic way of doing business, but it’s worked for us so far. We don't promise anything we can't do.
