Sovereign Fabrications

Our workshop is over on Hari Ram Street in Uppilipalayam. It is at number 14. You can usually hear us before you see us because of the welding and the metal cutting noise. It is a loud business, fabrication. We work with steel and iron, making frames, gates, and whatever else people ask us to build. The floor is always covered in iron filings and small scraps of metal, no matter how much we sweep it at the end of the day. We have a few big welding machines and a heavy-duty cutter that has been with us since the very start. It is not a fancy place at all. The walls are stained with soot and the roof is made of corrugated metal that makes a lot of noise when it rains. We do not have any kind of sales team. People just walk in through the big open gate and tell us what they need built for their homes or shops. We sketch the design out on a piece of cardboard or a scrap of paper and then get to work. It is a tough job on the hands and the eyes, but there is a good feeling in finishing a solid piece of work that will last. The neighborhood is mostly industrial, so we fit right in with the other workshops around us. We have been here in Uppilipalayam for a good while now. Most of our tools are old but they still work better than many of the new ones. We just keep building things.
