Uma Pattern Works

We are located at Plot No: 1D in the Cheran Co-Operative Industrial Estate Limited. Our shop is on the road that goes from Vadavalli to Kanuvai, specifically in Kalappanaickenpalayam. It’s a bit of a mouthful to say, but it’s a good location for us. We do a lot of pattern work for different industries around here. The building is simple and serves its purpose. We have the space we need for the materials and the finished patterns. Most days, you’ll hear the sound of saws or sanding. We started here because the industrial estate is well-placed for the work we do. It’s not a fancy part of town, just a place where people work. We have a few machines that have been with us since the start. They are reliable and we know how to fix them ourselves. We don't spend money on advertising or anything like that. People find us because they need patterns made and they heard we were here. We keep a ledger of what we’ve done and try to keep the shop floor from getting too messy. It’s a lot of repetitive work but it requires a steady hand. We just come in, do the work, and go home. That’s the way we’ve always done it. The estate is a good community for small shops. There is always someone around if you need a hand with something heavy.
