Uma Clinic

People usually find Uma Clinic because we are right near the post office on Union Road. It’s a good landmark since everyone knows where the mail goes. Being on Puthupalayam Road in Narasimhanaickenpalyam feels like being right in the middle of everything. We’ve been here long enough that the local kids have grown up and now bring their own kids in. The clinic is nothing fancy, just a few rooms and a place to sit while you wait. I try to keep the magazines in the lobby somewhat recent but they always end up torn or missing. That’s just part of running a place open to the public. We handle the basic health stuff that pops up. It’s noisy outside with the buses and cars on the way to the post office, but we’re used to it. The staff and I just focus on the person sitting in front of us. We don’t have any big corporate backing or anything. It’s just a small operation. Sometimes we run behind schedule because a neighbor stops in just to chat about the local news. We don't mind much. It’s how things go in a place like this. The floor has a few scuffs from all the feet walking through over the years. We stay open pretty late most nights to make sure everyone gets seen before we head home.
