Tooling Temple

Our workshop, Tooling Temple, is situated at No. 12 in Pappnaicker Thottam. It is over in the Kuniamuthur area, which has its own quiet rhythm compared to the main city center. We spend our days working with various tools and machinery parts. The shop isn't anything special to look at from the outside, just a regular industrial building with a heavy door. Inside, it’s usually a bit messy with metal shavings or grease, but that’s just the nature of the work we do. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a fancy office. Most of us wear work clothes that have seen better days. We start the machines early in the morning and keep going until the light starts to fade. Sometimes an order takes longer than we thought it would, and we end up staying late to finish it off. We don't have a big HR department or complicated rules. We just show up, do the machining or the tool work, and go home. The neighborhood is mostly other small workshops and houses. We’ve got a good relationship with the people around here. If a machine breaks, we fix it ourselves. It’s a simple way of running a business, focusing on the actual production rather than the paperwork. We like the independence of being in our own space in Pappnaicker Thottam. It suits us just fine and keeps us busy enough throughout the whole year.
