Oleg Knitt Manufacture

Oleg Knitt Manufacture is based at No. 47 V. K. R. Thottam on B. S. C. Sundaram Road in Tirupur. This part of town is always full of activity because so much manufacturing happens right here. Our facility is a bit of a maze with all the knitting machines and rows of worktables. It is a very industrial atmosphere, and the smell of machine oil is something you just get used to after your first day. We spend our hours watching the threads and making sure the machines don't jam up, which happens more often than we would like. The floors are hard concrete and our backs usually ache by the time we finish our shifts. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just focus on the actual making of the clothes. The Thottam area is a busy place to be, and there are always people coming and going with bundles of fabric. We have a small area where we keep the finished goods before they are picked up, and it is usually overflowing. It is not a glamorous job, but there is a certain satisfaction in seeing a plain piece of yarn turn into a finished garment. We are just a local factory doing what we know how to do, day after day. Most of our workers live nearby and have been with us for years.
