Cotton Continent

You will find Cotton Continent over at the C. K. K. Industrial Complex on Dharapuram Road. We have units No. 1 and 2 in the building. It is a pretty standard industrial setup for this part of Tiruppur. There is always a lot of activity going on in the complex, with trucks loading and unloading goods at all hours. Our space is filled with the constant sound of sewing machines and people talking over the noise to get things done. We deal with a lot of cotton fabric because that is what almost everyone does in this town. It gets quite warm in the afternoons, but we have enough fans to keep the air moving. We do not have a fancy reception area or a place for guests to sit. If you walk in, you are likely to walk right into the middle of the production floor. There are piles of fabric everywhere and people busy with their specific tasks. We have been working out of this complex for a long time now. The guys here know exactly how to handle the machines and the fabric. It is a lot of manual work, checking every seam and making sure the packing is done right before the trucks arrive. We usually have our tea together in the afternoon near the main door. It is not a glamorous job, but it is what we do.
