Thulasi Charitable Association

You’ll find us on the second floor of the MRSP Complex, which is at No. 12 on the Ponmeni Byepass Road. It’s a busy spot because of all the traffic coming off the bypass, but it makes us easy to get to. We’ve been running our association from this office for a good bit of time. It’s just a simple room with some tables and a few cupboards for our supplies. We don’t go in for anything fancy or expensive. Most of our time is spent helping people who come up the stairs looking for a bit of support. It might be someone needing help with school fees or just someone who’s had a bit of bad luck. We aren’t a big organization with lots of money. We just gather what we can and pass it on to those who need it more. The stairs are a bit steep, so we’re always telling people to watch their step. It gets a bit noisy with the trucks outside, but you get used to it after a while. We’re just a small group of locals who wanted to do something useful. We don't have any big titles or anything like that. We just show up, open the door, and see who needs help that day. It’s humble work, but it’s what we know how to do. We just keep at it.
