The Original's

Our place is at No. 206 Nethaji Road in P. N. Palayam. It is a busy street with plenty of shops and people walking by at all hours. We called it The Original's because it felt right at the time and the name stuck. The building is one of those older ones with high ceilings which is nice when it gets hot in the summer. We have a lot of shelves lining the walls and they are usually full of whatever we are currently working on. There is a heavy wooden door at the front that creaks every time someone walks in. We spend our mornings drinking tea and going over the list of things to do. P. N. Palayam is a good area because everything you need is just a short walk away. We don't do much in the way of decoration. There are some old calendars on the wall and a clock that is always five minutes fast. We know we should fix it but we never do. It’s just the two of us here most days handling the orders and talking to the regulars who stop in. We don't use any fancy systems to keep track of things, just a pen and a notebook usually works fine. Life is busy enough without making things more complicated than they need to be. We usually end the day by double checking the door is locked properly before we walk down the street to catch the bus. We just try to stay honest and get through the pile of work.
