The office is right there on Kannuswamy Gounder Street in Rathinapuri. One thing you notice immediately is how close we are to the railway gate. You hear the trains going by pretty often, and sometimes everything in the office just waits for a second while the whistle blows. It is a busy part of Coimbatore, for sure. Our address at 4529 has been the base for a long time. 1st Cross is always a bit crowded with parked scooters and people walking to the nearby shops. Inside, it is mostly just a group of us trying to stay on top of the daily workload. There is no fancy art on the walls or anything like that. We have our desks, our chairs, and plenty of tea to get through the afternoon slump. People come and go through the front door all day long. It gets a little dusty because of the road being so close, so someone is always wiping down a table or a computer screen. We do not have a big corporate cafeteria, so we mostly just order in from the local stalls or bring food from home. It is a bit noisy and can feel a bit cramped when we are busy, but we are used to it by now. The locals know us as the place near the gate. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done. It is not a complicated life here in Rathinapuri, just steady work and many familiar faces.
