We are down in Coimbatore, at D. No. 2/Q Anna Puram on Metur Road. If you know the Podanur area, we’re right there in the thick of it. We deal with autos and vehicles all day long. The shop floor is usually pretty greasy and there’s always the sound of someone working on an engine. It’s a noisy place but that’s how it should be. We’ve got a small office at the front where we handle the billing and talk to the people who come in. The traffic on Metur Road can be a nightmare in the evenings, so we try to get most of our parts delivered early. Our team is a mix of old hands who have been fixing cars forever and some younger guys learning the trade. We don’t have a fancy waiting room with a TV. People just stand around or sit on the plastic chairs we have. We try to keep things moving so nobody is waiting too long. Coimbatore is a big hub for this kind of work, so we have to stay on our toes. The heat in the workshop can get pretty bad in the summer, but we’ve got big exhaust fans. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We just focus on the machines and making sure the paperwork is done right. We’ve been at this location for a good while and the locals know us well for our practical approach.
