At Sri Mahesh Enterprises, you’ll find us at 89/3, 4th Street in Gandhipuram. This is a busy commercial district, so there is always a lot of loading and unloading going on in the street. Our shop is packed pretty tight with inventory, and sometimes you have to turn sideways to get through the aisles. We’ve got shelves reaching all the way to the ceiling, filled with various parts and supplies. It’s a bit dusty, no matter how much we sweep, because of the open front and the traffic outside. We don't have an air conditioner, just a couple of big ceiling fans that hum all day long. Most of our customers are local folks who have been coming to this street for years. We know many of them by name, and we usually end up chatting about the weather or the local news while we look for what they need. There is no computer system for the stock; we just know where things are because we put them there. The ledger on the desk is getting a bit old and the edges are curled. We aren't into fancy digital displays or marketing posters. The sign above the door has faded a bit in the sun, but everyone knows where we are. It’s a traditional way of doing things, and we don’t see a reason to complicate it. We just open up early and stay until the street gets quiet.
