Sri Jayam Garments

Sri Jayam Garments is located at No. 80 in the Basha Complex. We are on Karia Gounder Street, which is right in the Khader Pet area. If you know Khader Pet, you know it is famous for clothes and textiles, so we are surrounded by people doing similar work. Our shop in Basha Complex is always full of activity. We have rolls of cloth arriving and bags of finished garments leaving all day long. The street outside is usually crowded with carts and motorcycles, so it can be a bit of a struggle to get things in and out, but we manage. Inside, the space is divided between the cutting tables and the rows of machines. It’s a bit noisy with all the motors running at once, and we usually have the radio playing in the background to keep the mood up. We don't have a fancy office or a place for people to sit and wait. Most of our visitors are there to pick up goods or drop off materials. We handle a lot of cotton and synthetic fabrics, and the lint gets everywhere, but that’s just part of the garment trade. We are just a group of people who know how to sew and put things together. Karia Gounder Street is our home base, and we’ve been part of this community for quite a while now. We just focus on the work and let the stitching speak for itself.
