Sree Nachimar Chit Funds Private Limited is situated at 93/1 in the Co-operative Colony. This is in the Uppilipalayam area of Coimbatore. It’s a decent neighborhood, fairly settled and quiet compared to the big markets downtown. We’ve been in this spot for a while. The office is just a regular room where we keep our files and meet the members who come to pay their dues. Coimbatore can get quite warm, so the shade around the colony is a relief. Our daily routine involves a lot of sitting and checking names against lists. Handling the chit funds for a lot of people living nearby is what we do. It’s a lot of responsibility but we just take it one day at a time. The desks are a bit old, and the chairs creak when you sit down, but they do the job just fine. We don’t have a big sign or anything flashy. People know where we are because they’ve been coming here for years. Most of the work is just keeping track of the monthly cycles and making sure the paperwork is filed in the right cabinets. Sometimes we share a tiffin in the afternoon when things slow down. It’s a very local way of doing things. We just keep the records straight and wait for the next person to walk in through the door.
