Our shop is out at number 56 in the Sri Subaganesh Industrial Estate. It’s located near Kuppepalyam Post in Annur Taluk, which is a bit of a drive if you’re coming from the city. We work with plastics here, mostly doing the molding and shaping. The machines are old but they still run fine if you know how to treat them. It gets quite hot on the floor, especially in the afternoons. We have a routine of starting early to beat the heat. Most of the guys here have been working together for a long time, so we don't need to say much to get things done. The industrial estate is usually buzzing with trucks and people moving crates around. We’ve got a small office space at the front, but most of the action is in the back. There’s always a pile of scrap that needs sorting or some maintenance that needs doing. We don't put on any airs about what we do. It’s just plastic parts, day in and day out. Sometimes a batch doesn't come out right, and we have to start over. That's just part of the job. We keep a pot of tea going most of the day. It’s a practical place for practical work, and we’re happy enough with that. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, but it’s quiet once you get inside the gates.
