Spanish Carpenter

If you’re walking down Kamarajar Road in Varatharajapuram, you’ll find us at 306/1. We go by the name Spanish Carpenter, though we are as local to Coimbatore as it gets. We are pretty close to the Aloft Hotel, so that’s where we usually tell people to look if they’re coming to visit for the first time. The shop is in Uppilipalayam and it’s a busy place with a lot of noise from the road and our own machines. We do all kinds of carpentry work. It could be a new door, a custom table, or just fixing up some old cabinets that have seen better days. The workshop is a bit cluttered with tools and scraps of wood, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a marketing team or anyone to answer the phones in a fancy way. Usually, you just talk to whichever one of us isn't holding a hammer at the moment. We’ve been doing this for years, and we’ve learned that the best way to keep the business going is just to do a solid job. People around here know us for being practical. We don't use a lot of big words to explain things. We just show you the wood, tell you the price, and get to work. It’s a lot of manual labor and sweat, but we enjoy the feeling of finishing a piece that looks right.
