Skycam

Skycam is up on the third floor of Tristar Towers on Avinashi Road. It’s a well-known building in this part of town, so most people don’t have trouble finding us. The office itself is pretty functional. We deal with camera systems and security setups, so there are usually various lenses and monitors sitting around on the desks. It’s not a showroom; it’s more of a working office where we configure equipment and plan out installations. The windows look out over Avinashi Road, so we get a lot of natural light, which is nice during the day. Sometimes the traffic noise from below is a bit much, but you stop noticing it after a while. We’ve got a small team here. We aren't big on titles or hierarchies. Everyone just pitches in where they are needed. If a shipment arrives, we all help unload it. We have a water cooler in the corner where most of the talk happens. The carpets are a bit worn in the high-traffic areas, and the walls are covered with notes and diagrams we’ve taped up over the months. It’s a practical environment for the kind of work we do. We don't spend money on expensive furniture because we’d rather have better tools for the job. It’s just a normal office where we spend our weekdays getting things sorted for our clients. There are usually a few spare cameras lying around being tested before they go out to a site.
