Sivalingam Gears

We are situated at 643 Trichy Road in Ondipudur. This is a main road, so there is a constant stream of buses and trucks going past our door. The sound of the traffic is something you just get used to after a while. Our work revolves around gears and mechanical parts, which means the shop is full of heavy items and the smell of oil. It is a hands-on kind of place. We don’t have any fancy furniture or a reception desk. Usually, you’ll find us in the back working on a component or cleaning up some old parts. The floor is concrete and often has a few stains, but that’s normal for this kind of work. We’ve been in Ondipudur for quite some time now. People around here know us for what we do with gearboxes and similar stuff. It’s not an easy job, it takes a lot of patience and sometimes a bit of force to get things right. We don’t talk much about service or anything like that; we just fix what is broken. The evenings are usually a bit quieter when the main rush on Trichy Road dies down. We take that time to sort out the tools for the next day. It’s just a regular local shop where we put in the hours and do the work that needs doing. Sometimes it is tiring, but there is always a sense of satisfaction when a job is finished properly. We are just a group of people who know their way around gears.
