Simma Chits India Private Limited has its office at 84 Rajamill Road in Pollachi. It’s a busy part of town with a lot of movement. We’ve been here for some time now, and we’re used to the noise from the street. Our work is all about chit funds. We have people from all over Pollachi coming in to join different groups. It’s a lot of management and keeping the schedules tight. We aren't fancy people. Most of us wear regular clothes and we speak the local way. You won’t find any big corporate slogans on our walls. We just have the calendars and some charts to show how the chits are progressing. Sometimes the office gets dusty because of the road outside, so we’re always cleaning the counters. We spend a lot of time talking to people about their monthly payments. We try to be flexible when someone has a tough month, as long as they talk to us. It’s a community thing, really. People trust us because they know where to find us and they’ve seen us around for years. We do the math, we keep the records, and we make sure the auctions happen when they should. It’s not a complicated life, just a lot of responsibility to handle other people's money. We just show up and do the work every day. It’s how we’ve always done it.
