Shri Akkshaya Grama Nalam Foundation

Our office is located at 8/34 in Gopuram Colony. Sivakasi is a busy place, but our corner is usually okay. We are 626124 for those who are sending us letters. The foundation focuses on village welfare. We aren't a big corporate entity. It's just a local group of people who care about how things are going in the grama. Our building is a simple one, typical for this part of Sivakasi. Inside, we have a few tables and chairs where we sit and talk about what needs to be fixed or who needs support. It's mostly about the basics here. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. Most of our work happens out in the field, so the office is often empty during the middle of the day. We keep the keys with a neighbor if we are all going to be out for a long time. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows each other. Sometimes the power goes out, so we sit outside and wait for it to come back. We are used to it. The name on the door is small, but people in Gopuram Colony know us. We just try to help out where we can without making a big fuss. It is hard work but it feels right. We might not have the biggest office in Sivakasi, but we make sure every inch of it is used for something good.
