Satcom Zone

You can find Satcom Zone out on Sathy Main Road, over in the Sivanandapuram area of Saravanampatti. The address is 46/67, and it sits right on that busy stretch where all the trucks and buses go by. Because of the main road, there’s always a layer of dust on the windows no matter how often we wipe them down. The shop is basically one long room with shelves on both sides. We keep a lot of our gear there, mostly stuff related to communication and signals. It gets pretty warm in the summer since the sun hits the front of the building for most of the afternoon. We have a couple of plastic chairs for anyone who needs to wait around. The work we do involves a lot of tinkering with wires and checking connections. It’s not a quiet job, but we like being in this part of town. Saravanampatti has grown a lot lately, so there’s always something new being built nearby. We mostly deal with people from the surrounding neighborhoods who need help with their setups. Sometimes the power goes out for a bit, so we just sit out front and watch the traffic until it comes back on. It’s a straightforward life here at the shop, just taking things one day at a time and dealing with whatever comes through the door.
