Sangeeth Textiles Limited

Our place is out at No. 551 in the Ganesapuram Post area, specifically Sarkar Shyam Kulam. It is a bit of a journey to get here from the main city center. The surroundings are a bit more open and you can see some fields nearby. Inside the building, there is a lot of fabric everywhere. Rolls of different colors and textures are piled up on the heavy wooden tables. We spend the day cutting and checking the cloth. Sometimes the thread gets tangled in the machines and we have to spend an hour or so getting it sorted out. It’s not a quiet place because of the equipment running, but we like the rhythm of it. We usually have the radio playing in the background, though you can’t always hear it over the noise. Lunch is usually taken together in the small break area we set up in the corner. We bring food from home and share stories. It’s a simple life working with textiles. We deal with suppliers who bring us the yarn and then we see it turn into something useful. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, and the floor has some cracks, but it suits the work we do. We focus on getting the fabric ready for the next stage. It is what we know how to do best out here. We just keep the machines moving until the day is over and we go home.
