Our office, SAKTHIMURUGAN CHIT FUNDS PRIVATE LIMITED, is located at No.4/301 on Kalipatty Main Street in Panchukalipatty, near Pannankattur. It’s a pretty straightforward setup we have here. We aren't trying to be a big city bank. We are just a local chit fund where people from the surrounding villages come to save their earnings. The street outside can get a bit dusty when the tractors go by, but it’s home to us. We have a few desks and a bench for people to wait on. Most of our day is spent writing in ledgers and talking to people who stop by to pay their dues. We’ve seen many families grow and use their chit money to build small houses or buy livestock. It feels good to see that progress in our own neighborhood. We don’t use any confusing language or hidden fees. Everything is explained in simple terms so everyone knows where they stand. It’s a community effort, really. If one person doesn't pay on time, it affects the group, so we all look out for each other. The office isn't much to look at from the outside, but inside, we do honest work. We stick to our routine and make sure the monthly auctions are fair. People in Pannankattur know they can find us here every day except for Sundays.
