S. V. Techno Castings

S. V. Techno Castings is located at S. F. No.- 18/B in the Industrial Estate, right behind Cri in Chinnavedampatti. It’s a bit of a trek to get out here, but it’s a good spot for a casting business. Casting is messy work. We use sand and heat to make shapes out of molten metal, so the place is always dusty and pretty warm. In the summer, it gets really hot inside, so we drink a lot of water and try to get the heaviest work done early in the morning. We’ve got the furnace in the center of the floor, and everything else kind of moves around that. The neighbors in the estate are mostly other industrial shops, so nobody complains about the noise or the smoke. We don't have a polished office for meetings; usually, if a customer visits, we just talk on the shop floor or near the entrance where it's a bit cooler. We take the orders as they come. Some days we are pouring constantly, and other days we’re mostly cleaning up the molds and getting ready for the next batch. We don’t use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just make castings. At S. V. Techno Castings, we focus on making sure the metal fills the mold properly so there aren't any gaps. It’s basic, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week.
