The campus is pretty large and there’s a lot of walking involved to get between the different blocks. You see students everywhere, mostly carrying heavy bags or wearing their lab coats. The workshops can get very loud when the machines are running, and there’s often a smell of grease and metal in the air. It’s a busy place with thousands of people trying to figure out their engineering degrees. We have labs that stay open late when there are big projects due. The sun here in Coimbatore is really strong, so everyone looks for a bit of shade under the trees during their lunch breaks. The canteen is definitely the loudest spot, especially when they have biryani on the menu. We deal with a lot of paperwork every day, like exam forms and sorting out lost ID cards. It’s a lot of work to keep everything running for so many people. There are always new notices being taped up on the boards and students rushing so they don't miss their first lecture. It feels like its own small town out here. It isn’t always perfectly smooth; sometimes a projector breaks or a fan stops working, but we just fix it and move on. It’s just life at a big technical college where everyone is always in a hurry.
