S. B. Merchandising Services

We’re based out of Amarjothi in the AS Nagar Extension area of Tirupur. The address is number 5. If you know anything about Tirupur, you know it’s all about the knitting and the garment exports. S. B. Merchandising Services is our little operation where we handle the sourcing and the quality checks for the clothes. The office is pretty simple—just some tables, chairs, and a lot of garment samples hanging on the walls or folded in bins. It can get pretty dusty with all the fabric around, but that’s just the nature of the business. We spend most of our time visiting the local factories or checking on the progress of an order. It’s a lot of back-and-forth communication between the buyers and the production units. We don’t have a fancy reception area or anything like that. People just walk in, we have some tea, and we talk about the latest samples. The AS Nagar Extension is a bit quieter than the main market, which is nice, but it’s still very much a part of the textile hub. We’ve been doing this for a long time, so we know which mills are reliable and which ones aren't. It’s practical work and it requires a lot of patience. We just try to make sure the merchandise is up to the right standard before it gets shipped out. It’s a small, honest business in the heart of the textile city.
