Optic City

Optic City is situated over on Cowley Brown Road in the RS Puram area. We are at number 14, right near the Micro Lab, which is a good landmark if you are trying to find us for the first time. The shop is a typical local eye care place. We have racks of frames on the walls and a small area in the back for testing eyes. It isn't a massive chain store, so we know a lot of the people who walk through our door. We’ve been helping the neighbors with their glasses and contact lenses for quite some time now. Some days the shop is quiet and we just spend time cleaning the displays. Other days, it feels like everyone in RS Puram needs a new pair of specs at the same time. We don't use a lot of big words or try to sell people things they don't need. If your old frames can be fixed, we usually just fix them. The street outside can get a bit crowded with parked cars, but that’s just how it is around here. We like being part of this community. It feels good when someone brings in their kids for their first pair of glasses and then comes back years later. We just keep things simple and try to make sure people can see a bit better when they leave.
