We operate out of No. 4/ 44 Kattabomman Street in the Ganapathy area. It’s right on the Gandhi Nagar Main road, so it’s easy for the delivery trucks to find us. This place is basically a hub for our distribution work. We have boxes piled up everywhere, sometimes nearly reaching the ceiling. It can be a bit of a maze walking through the back room when a big shipment just arrived. We spend a lot of time on the phone or checking the ledgers to see what’s going where. It isn't a glamorous job, just a lot of logistics and making sure the right items get onto the right trucks. The neighborhood is quite busy, with a lot of other small businesses on the same street. We know the guy who runs the hardware shop next door and the lady with the small eatery across the way. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps for a break when the weather is nice. The building itself has seen better days, and the paint is peeling in a few spots, but it keeps the rain off the stock. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who have worked together for a long time. We know each other’s habits and how the work flows best. It’s a steady pace, usually starting early before the traffic on Kattabomman Street gets too backed up with commuters. We don't use any fancy software, just the old books and our memories.
