Our office for Elixir Insurance Services Pvt. Ltd. is in the Knv Complex, No 1857. We are right across from the Arul Jothi Hotel in Ramanathapuram. If you can’t find us, just look for the hotel and then look across the street. The office is usually full of the sound of keyboards tapping and the printer churning out pages. We have these big blue folders everywhere because there’s so much paperwork involved in insurance. I spend most of my day sitting behind a desk, talking to people who come in from the heat of Ramanathapuram. The Arul Jothi Hotel is where we usually get our coffee, and the smell of their cooking sometimes drifts over when the wind is right. The Knv Complex is an older building, so the stairs are a bit narrow and the walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint. We don’t have a fancy reception area with a fountain or anything like that. It’s just a few desks, some chairs for people to sit on while they wait, and a lot of filing cabinets. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which gives us a few minutes to just chat and look out the window at the traffic. It’s a busy spot, but we’ve been here long enough that it feels like home. We just handle the forms and help people out with their paperwork as they come in.
