Mahendra Electricals

We’ve been at No. 21 Cox Street for quite a few years now. If you know Ram Nagar, you know how it gets near the flyover—busy and sometimes a bit loud with all the traffic passing by. Mahendra Electricals is just a small place, really. We spend most of our days surrounded by wires, switches, and those little components that people always seem to lose or break at the worst time. It’s not a fancy setup. There are boxes stacked up in the corners and the counter is usually covered in some project someone is working on. My father started things here, and I just kept it going because it’s what I know. We don’t have a big team or anything, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes it takes a minute to find a specific bulb or a fuse in the back, but we usually get there. People from the neighborhood stop in, some just to ask a quick question about their home wiring or to complain about the heat. It’s a bit dusty because of the road construction nearby, but we try to keep things moving. We aren’t trying to change the world, just trying to make sure when someone flips a switch, the light actually comes on. It’s a basic life here near the flyover, but it’s ours and we’re used to the rhythm of the street and the regulars who come by.
