Ram & Co

Ram & Co has been sitting at number 43 in Chinniampalayam for quite a bit of time now. It’s a small operation, mostly just a few of us handling whatever comes through the door each morning. The building isn't much to look at from the outside, but it gets the job done for what we need. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because everyone in the neighborhood already knows where we are and what we do. Usually, someone just walks in or calls out from the street if they need something handled. The street can get a bit crowded with traffic during peak hours, so loading things up can be a bit of a hassle sometimes. We deal with all sorts of people, from neighbors fixing a small fence to local contractors working on bigger jobs. It’s a straightforward kind of place without any bells or whistles. We keep the ledger on the desk and try to stay on top of the orders as they come in. There’s usually a pot of tea going somewhere in the back room. Some days are slower than others, which gives us time to tidy up the workspace or fix a shelf that’s falling down. We’ve seen the town change a lot over the years, but our little corner stays pretty much the same. It's a bit dusty and the floors are worn down, but that's what happens when you've been working in one spot for so long.
