Sashe Petals

At Sashe Petals, we spend most of our time at No. 170 A/ Appuswamy Lay Out. Puliakulam is a nice enough area to work in. We have this space where we do all our designing and sewing. It’s not a huge place, but it’s enough for what we do. The windows let in some good light in the mornings which helps with the needlework. We have a couple of big tables where we spread everything out. Sometimes the floor gets covered in pins and we have to be careful where we step. It’s just a small team here, mostly just me and a couple of others who know their way around a sewing machine. We don't really go for anything corporate. We just like to make things that look decent and fit well. Most days involve a lot of tea and a lot of measuring. Sometimes we get the measurements wrong and have to start over, which is frustrating, but it happens to everyone. The layout here is quiet compared to the main roads. We like it that way because it lets us concentrate on the details. We've been at this spot for a bit now and the people nearby are friendly. We don't have a big sign or anything, just the address. If you’re looking for someone to put something together for you, that’s basically what we do every day. We aren't doing anything groundbreaking, just sewing and trying to stay organized.
