We’ve set up shop at 28/2 C.R. Sundaram Layout, which is right across from the All India Radio building on Trichy Road. Ramanathapuram is a busy area, and being on Trichy Road means there’s a constant stream of buses and cars going by outside. Our building is easy to find because of that landmark, which helps when we have delivery drivers bringing in rolls of paper or site equipment. Inside, it’s mostly about the work. We deal with both architecture and the actual structures, so there is a lot of talk about cement, steel, and load-bearing walls. It’s not just about how things look, but how they stay up. The office is a bit crowded with models and computer monitors. We aren't big on keeping everything perfectly tidy because we’re usually in the middle of three things at once. You might see some half-finished drawings or a stack of technical manuals on the floor. The staff here has been together for a bit, so we know how to stay out of each other's way in the small space. We spend plenty of time traveling to sites around Ramanathapuram, so the office is our home base for regrouping. It’s a functional space for people who like building things. We don't spend much time worrying about the decor of the office itself as long as the drawings are accurate and the clients are satisfied. It’s just how we run things.
