Ponda Battery Co.

Ponda Battery Co. is located at No. 5/312 A on Kuppanaikan Road. A lot of people know us because we’re right by the Amarja Catering School Road in Palayam. It’s a busy little area, especially when the students are coming and going from the school. We’ve got batteries of all sizes stacked up on the racks here. It’s heavy work, moving those things around all day. The shop smells a bit like metal and old dust, which I guess is normal for a place like this. We’ve been here for quite a while, and the floor has seen better days, but it’s sturdy. We don't really have a big staff, just a couple of us who know where everything is kept. If someone walks in asking for something specific, we usually have to dig around the back for a minute. The street outside can get pretty cramped with bikes and delivery vans, so things get a bit chaotic in the afternoons. We try to keep the front area clear so people can walk in without tripping over anything. It’s not a fancy showroom, just a practical place where we get the job done. Sometimes we sit out front on the bench when it’s slow. It’s a simple business, really. We handle the batteries, talk to the customers, and keep an eye on the traffic going toward the catering school. It keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble and the days move fast.
