PlanIt Design & Build

PlanIt Design & Build is out in Madukkarai, Coimbatore. We are at 8/96 Chidambaranar Street, which is quite near the ACC Cement Factory. You can often see the dust in the air from the factory and hear the big trucks moving in and out. It’s an industrial sort of area, which fits what we do. Our office is a simple building where we do both the designing and the actual planning for builds. We have some long tables where we can spread out big sheets of paper. It is usually quite warm here, so we have a few fans going all the time. We aren't the type of place where everyone wears suits. We usually just wear comfortable clothes that can get a bit of dirt on them. Building houses and commercial spaces in Coimbatore takes a lot of coordination. We have to talk to suppliers and make sure the cement and steel arrive on time. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work, but we just adjust the schedule. There’s a lot of math involved in what we do, so we spend a lot of time with calculators. We have some old filing cabinets that are stuffed with projects from years ago. It’s just a normal workplace for people who like to see things being built from the ground up. We take our work seriously but we don't try to act like we're something we're not.
