If you go to the Pioneer Apartments on Avinashi Main Road in Coimbatore, you will find PKPP Spinning Mills in C-Block, Unit 201. It’s a bit unusual for a spinning mill to have an office in an apartment complex, but it works for us. The actual heavy work often happens elsewhere, but this is where the planning and the business side of things get sorted out. Being on Avinashi Road means we are right in the center of the city’s pulse, with cars and buses zooming by 1075 Avinashi Main Road at all hours. Inside the office, it’s a lot quieter than a factory floor. We have samples of yarn and thread sitting on the desks so we can check the quality and feel. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who need yarn for their own factories. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just focus on the spinning business and making sure we have enough stock to meet the demand. The team here is small, just a few people handling the accounts and the orders. We like being in this part of Coimbatore because everything is close by, even if the traffic is a nightmare sometimes. It’s a practical setup for a spinning company that has been around the block a few times. We just keep our heads down, do the paperwork, and make sure the yarn gets where it needs to go.
