Ptn Kids Wear

Karukkankaattu Pudhur is a quiet place, and our shop is just a small part of it. We specialize in kids wear, which sounds easy but it's actually quite tricky because children grow so fast and their clothes need to be tough. We spend a lot of time looking at different fabrics to see what won't itch or tear too easily after a few washes. The shop isn't very large, so we have to stack things pretty high on the shelves. My wife helps me with the colors and the styles because she has a better eye for what parents actually want to buy these days. Most of our customers are locals who come in when they have a little extra money or a festival is coming up. We don't have a website or any of that fancy stuff. People just know where Ptn Kids Wear is. The street outside can get a bit dusty when the wind picks up, so we are always dusting off the racks and cleaning the glass. It’s just a normal day-to-day business. We open up around ten, have our lunch in the back room, and stay until the sun goes down. There’s no big corporate strategy here. We just try to stock clothes that look decent and don't cost a fortune. It’s nice seeing the kids walk past later wearing something they bought from us. It makes the long hours feel a bit more worth it.
