You see students everywhere, carrying books or sitting in groups under the trees. It’s a bit of a world of its own here in Peelamedu. The buildings have that weathered look that comes with being around for a long time. There’s a lot of history in the walls, though we don't think about it much while we're rushing to the next task. The sound of bells or people talking in the corridors is just the background music to our day. We spend a lot of time in the offices or the labs. It’s not always perfectly organized—there are stacks of papers and old equipment tucked into corners. The air in Peelamedu can get quite warm in the afternoons, so the ceiling fans are always humming. We don't have a lot of time for sitting around. There’s always someone with a question or something that needs fixing. It’s a busy life, but it feels good to be part of the community here.
