The weather in Coimbatore is usually okay, but the sun really beats down on the open walkways here. Most of the staff has been here for years, so we all know each other’s habits. It isn't a corporate office; it’s a place where people are trying to learn and teach. We have a lot of computers and machines that need constant attention. The commute from the city can be long, so many of us arrive early before the buses start crowding the entrance. You see a lot of bicycles and motorbikes parked in the lots. It gets very quiet during the exams, which is a big change from the usual noise. We just keep things running as best as we can.
