Open Arms International School

Open Arms International School is found at 59, Nk Nagar in the Kavundampalayam area. It’s a local school that’s been part of this Coimbatore neighborhood for some time. The building isn't anything fancy, just a solid structure with enough rooms for the children. We spend our days managing the small details, like making sure the water tanks are full or checking if the lights are working. It’s not always easy, especially when things break down unexpectedly. We don't have a big maintenance team, so often it’s one of us who has to figure out how to fix a leaky tap. The schoolyard has a few trees that give some shade, which is nice when it gets hot outside. We have a lot of paperwork to stay on top of, and the office always feels a bit cramped with all the books and files. We don't use corporate language here because we aren't a big corporation. We’re just a group of people working in Kavundampalayam. Sometimes the bell doesn't ring exactly on time because we get distracted by a student who needs help or a parent who stopped by for a chat. We try to keep the place clean and tidy, but with kids around, it’s a constant struggle. We just take it one day at a time, making sure the kids have their lessons and everything stays mostly organized. It’s a practical, local life for all of us at Nk Nagar.
