Oaykay Forgings P.Ltd.

Oaykay Forgings P.Ltd. is based out of Post Box No.303, at 15/22, Frazer Square. When you think of forgings, you probably think of heat and heavy machinery, and that is exactly what our daily life looks like. The workshop is a large space with high ceilings to let the heat escape. It is definitely not a clean environment. There is soot and metal dust on most surfaces, but that is part of the job. We have been at Frazer Square for many years. The building is old and has a lot of character, including some cracks in the walls that have been there as long as I can remember. We don't have a fancy lobby or a place for people to sit and wait. Most folks who come here are here to talk business or check on an order, so we just meet them near the machines. It’s loud and you often have to shout to be heard over the sound of the hammers. We use the post box for most of our mail because it’s easier that way. Our work is physically demanding and by the end of the shift, everyone is pretty tired. We take pride in the fact that we just get the work done without any fuss. It’s a simple, hardworking atmosphere here and we wouldn't have it any other way. The metal cools down slowly at night after we close up the shop and head home for some rest.
