No 1 Travels

No 1 Travels is tucked away on 2nd Street in Gandhipuram. We are inside the Hotel R.V Complex. It’s quite near the sector bus stand, which makes it a very convenient spot for people arriving in the city. The complex is an older building. Our office is just one room with a couple of desks. I keep a calendar on the wall that’s usually filled with scribbles. The area around 2nd Street is always crowded with bikes parked everywhere. Sometimes it’s hard to find a spot for our own cars. I walk to work most days because of that. Inside the office, it’s a bit cramped. We have a lot of files and some old maps of the state. The Hotel R.V Complex is a well-known landmark, so people usually find us without too much trouble. We aren't trying to be the biggest travel agency in the world. We just like running our small operation here. My cousin used to run the desk, but now I’ve taken over the morning shifts. We drink a lot of tea while talking to the drivers. The noise from the bus stand nearby is constant. It’s like a background hum that you eventually stop hearing. We keep the door open to let some air in, even if it brings in the street noise. It’s just a regular, working-class office. We do our work and go home when the sun sets.
