We’ve been at No. 383 Bharathiyar Road in New Sidhapudur for a good while now. Most days it’s just us surrounded by paints, brushes, and whatever project is currently on the table. It’s not a fancy place, honestly. The walls have some stains and the floor has seen better days, but that is just how an art place looks when people are actually working in it. People from the neighborhood drop by mostly to see what we are making or to get something specific done for their homes. New Sidhapudur is a busy area, so there is always noise from the street coming through the front door. We keep the fans running all day to deal with the heat. Sometimes the shop feels a bit cramped because we keep hoarding materials we think might be useful later. It’s a bit of a mess, but we know where everything is. We don't really have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the tools. If you walk past the shop, you’ll probably see us bent over a desk or talking to a regular customer. We aren't trying to change the world or anything; we just like finishing a piece and seeing it go to a good home. It’s hard work and the hours can be long when a deadline is close, but it’s what we do. Anyway, that’s pretty much the story of this little spot on Bharathiyar Road. We just keep our heads down and work.
