Nehru Arts And Science College

Our place is Nehru Arts And Science College, located at 56, Ponmani Illam in the Perumalsamy Nagar area. If you know Coimbatore well, you’ll find us tucked away near Vadhiyar Thottam in B. K. Pudur. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stop, but once you get here, it’s actually quite a nice, quiet spot for a college. We’ve got students coming in from all over the city and even from some of the smaller towns nearby. The daily routine is basically just classes, tea breaks, and students hanging out in the hallways between lectures. We do arts and science subjects mostly. The building isn’t brand new, but it has a lot of character and history for those of us who work here every day. Some of the staff have been around for decades. You can usually hear the chatter of students from the gate. We don't try to be anything we aren't. It’s just a place for learning where people actually know each other's names. Sometimes the rains make the roads around B. K. Pudur a bit muddy, but everyone still shows up. It’s a busy life here, especially during exam season when the library gets really packed. We just focus on keeping the classes running and making sure the students have what they need to get through their degrees without too much trouble.
