Our place is located at No:5, Elango Nagar, on the 3rd Street just off P.N. Road in Tirupur. If you know this area, you know it’s the heart of the textile world. We do import and export stuff, mostly dealing with the garments and fabrics that move through this town. It’s a noisy neighborhood with trucks and bikes everywhere. Our office isn't anything special to look at. We’ve got some desks, a few samples hanging up, and a lot of shipping documents piled high. Working in Tirupur means everything moves fast, and there’s always a deadline for a container somewhere. We deal with different suppliers and try to make sure the quality isn't terrible before things get packed up. It’s a lot of back-and-forth emails and phone calls. Sometimes the power cuts out and the fans stop, making the afternoons pretty miserable in the heat. We aren't a big multinational; it’s just a small group of us who have lived in the Coimbatore district all our lives. We know the local mills and we know how to get things moved. It’s not perfect—sometimes shipments are late or the colors aren't exactly right—but we stay on top of it as much as we can. We just show up every morning and try to get the orders out the door. That's pretty much our whole story.
