This Mint Homes Pvt Ltd office is over at 5/2, Kurunji Nagar on the Palayapudur Road in Coimbatore. It is a different spot from our other location, situated right on that main stretch of road where there is a lot of traffic. The 641020 area is quite familiar to us by now. We spend most of our time here dealing with the paperwork side of home building. It’s a simple office with a few desks and a lot of filing cabinets that have seen better days. The road outside stays busy with motorcycles and buses, so there is a constant hum in the background while we work. I’ve been at this desk for a long time, and you get used to the rhythm of the street. We don’t have a fancy reception area; it’s just a place where we sit and get the job done. Sometimes the mail gets mixed up, but we sort it out eventually. We handle a lot of the local planning and checking on how the construction is going at different sites. Most of the guys are out in the field, so it’s often just one or two of us here keeping things organized. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. It is just a functional space for people who work for a living. We have our routines, like getting the tea at eleven and finishing up the logs before we head home in the evening.
